Choose the right problem
Compare AI with simpler automation. Establish the expected value, failure cost and measurable baseline before selecting a model.
Applied intelligence
Identify where AI can improve a real workflow, then build the integrations and evaluation needed to use it responsibly. Our focus is practical AI in products, knowledge systems and business operations.

THE STARTING POINT
A compelling demonstration is only the beginning. A useful AI system also needs appropriate data, permission boundaries, measurable evaluation and a safe response when it cannot help.
TYPICAL ENGAGEMENT OUTPUTS
The final deliverables and acceptance criteria are defined for your engagement.
THE ENGINEERING APPROACH
Compare AI with simpler automation. Establish the expected value, failure cost and measurable baseline before selecting a model.
For knowledge use cases, define source ownership, document access, retrieval quality and how citations are presented to users.
Test representative questions, missing information and adversarial inputs. Agree on review gates before allowing consequential actions.
BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
Applied AI should improve a defined business task while keeping its uncertainty visible. We design AI-enabled features, retrieval-based knowledge experiences and decision-support tools around the information people can use, the actions they are allowed to take and the quality a real workflow requires. A pilot establishes evidence for a decision; it does not automatically establish production readiness.
An internal assistant can help staff locate relevant policies, procedures or product information and review the supporting sources. We begin with document ownership, freshness and access rights, then evaluate whether retrieval returns the right material for representative questions. A source citation is useful only if it actually supports the answer being presented.
Document extraction, classification and draft preparation can be evaluated against a defined task and reviewed output. We clarify which fields or suggestions a person must confirm before another system changes. The experience should expose missing information and uncertainty instead of turning a plausible model response into an unreviewed business fact.
ARCHITECTURE & INTEGRATION
The application remains responsible for authentication, data permissions and allowed actions. User input, retrieved documents and model output are treated as data to validate. Model instructions are not a substitute for access control, and retrieval does not remove the need to consider malicious instructions contained in documents or other connected content.
Evaluate hosted model APIs, retrieval stores and any on-device capability against the task, latency, cost and information sensitivity. Provider retention and training terms depend on the actual agreement and configuration. We make those dependencies explicit before connecting business data or selecting a deployment region.
QUALITY & RELEASE
Build a review set containing typical requests, difficult examples and questions without a supported answer. Examine task completion, source support, permission behavior, latency and cost separately. Compare the candidate with a useful baseline, which may be search, rules or a human-assisted process. Quality gates follow the cost of an error in the specific workflow.
A release review should identify known limitations, human escalation, monitoring responsibilities and the conditions that suspend a feature. Re-evaluation is needed when models, prompts, source content or integrations change. We agree how feedback is reviewed rather than assuming a successful demonstration will remain reliable after its dependencies evolve.
OWNERSHIP & CONTINUITY
AI delivery includes the evaluation material and operational context needed to maintain the feature. An agreed support scope can cover provider changes, document ingestion, quality review and cost monitoring. Human accountability remains with the organization; no autonomous action or continuous supervision commitment is implied by the presence of AI.
QUESTIONS THAT MATTER
Often, no. Existing model APIs, retrieval and well-designed application logic may be a better starting point. Data, cost, privacy and quality requirements determine the approach.
Start with a representative evaluation set and a baseline. Measure task success, source support, unsafe output, latency and cost against the actual use case.
That depends on the selected provider, contract and configuration. Data handling and retention must be reviewed explicitly before any business data is connected.
When authorized sources do not support the requested answer, access is insufficient or the task falls outside the agreed capability, a clear limitation or handoff is preferable to invention. The exact refusal and escalation behavior should be part of the product design and evaluation.
Yes. A bounded feature can connect to existing user journeys and backend services. We review permissions, network conditions, response time and how a person checks the result, then establish whether a server-side, on-device or combined approach fits the requirements.
