We design the mobile journey together with the office workflow and backend responsibilities. Start with one complete operational task, then establish what must work online, what can be stored locally and how the team will know a record has been accepted.

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
Give a field user the information needed to perform an agreed service journey and capture the required result. Consider readable forms, device permissions, language and the conditions in which the screen is used. Attachments, location or signatures are included only where the business purpose and data responsibilities justify them.
An assignment change or correction should make sense to both sides of the operation. Define which system owns the record, what the office can review and how a field user receives a changed instruction. Include an exception and a handover in the initial scope, rather than evaluating only a successful submission.
DESIGN & ENGINEERING
Distinguish a locally saved draft, a queued submission and a confirmed server record. Review duplicates, retries, conflicting edits and expired access explicitly. Offline capability is a set of workflow decisions; storing data on a device alone does not establish a reliable synchronization model.
Compare native iOS and Android development with an appropriate cross-platform approach. Device integrations, background behavior, platform expectations and the team maintaining the application determine the choice. Design backend APIs and the operational workspace as part of the same system.
QUALITY & READINESS
Review a representative device set, interrupted networks, app restarts and permission changes. Test the full journey from an office assignment through a field submission to reconciliation. User acceptance should include the people who work with the device and those responsible for the resulting record.
Agree signing ownership, store or managed distribution accounts, privacy declarations and the update process. Platform review and device deployment depend on the application and distribution method. A release plan includes user onboarding and operational fallback, not only an installable build.
The handover connects mobile builds, backend services, environment access and operating documentation. Device support, distribution accounts, third-party services, maintenance coverage and future feature work each need an identified owner and agreed scope.
